A new year!

I can't believe it's been a year since we posted in our blog. Since that year we have found a home for a sweet little boy and his new name is Mojo.....We didn't have him long enough for a picture as he was already neutured and was easy to find a home for.The next guy is harder. He is one of the towns feral cats. I watched him all last winter roaming around out in the freezing temps....I just keep feeding him and talking to him and finally when spring rolled around he was feeling like he could trust me....He sprays non-stop, the neighbors are mad and want him destroyed. I took him in and got him to the vet's. Had him neutered and shaved all the bad mats off him. The vet estimates that he has been outside for 4 years. He has the largest jaw muscles the vet has seen in many years. That's from eating wild prey for 4 years. He is so affectionate. He now loves me and lives here at my home but he still sprays. The vet says when the weather turns cold, put him in a nice sunny room and we will try amitriptyline for a few months, hopefully between not going out to spray and the behavior drugs, he will forget come spring, that he used to spray...we are hoping. The only other option is to find him a farm where someone will feed him....
to try and break the habit of spraying. he can't wonder the house as he sprays every 2 feet.
